On February 28, 2026, three members of the AYLUS Chapel Hill group cleaned up Bolin Creek Trail and part of Town Community Center Park. The group collected trash along the trail, filling three bags in total. They also made their way to the deeper areas of the stream to pick up trash that had gathered among the rocks and vegetation, an area that is often harder to access.
With this cleanup, the group aims to improve the trail environment for visitors and local wildlife. The Chapel Hill Branch plans to continue cleanups to keep the area clean.
