Fairfax Branch – Recording Audio for the Disabled Event 2/15/2026

On February 15th, 2026, the Fairfax Branch partnered once again with Recording Audio for the Disabled (RAD) to create audiobooks for donation to non-profits supporting children with autism or learning disabilities. At the City of Fairfax Regional Library from 10am-12pm, they recorded themselves reading aloud children’s books, then used an audio editing tool to edit and convert them into shareable guided reading audiobooks. Through our collective efforts, we were able to record and edit 26 books!

Later in the year, these audio files will be sent to the organizations partnered with RAD, along with the physical books obtained through book drives, for use in education and entertainment. We hope that these books will help support book accessibility for children with disabilities and inspire a love for learning and literature in all.

Thank you to RAD for collaborating with Fairfax AYLUS to make this event possible. We will continue to partner with RAD in the future in more events to support their cause. An additional thank you to Rachel Truong (2 hrs), William Tian (2 hrs), Michael Ma (2 hrs), Isabella Xue (2 hrs), Rachel Wu (2 hrs), Julianna Sun (2 hrs), Aliana Yee (2 hrs), and Alicia Yee (2 hrs) for their involvement.

Best,

Rachel Truong
