AYLUS Oyster Bay branch helped seed packing project in Nissequogue January 24,2026

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, student volunteers from AYLUS Oyster Bay continued their commitment to environmental stewardship by participating in spring seeds packing in Nissequogue, due to severe cold weather in Long Island, the original invasive species removal project was replaced by seed packing indoor.

From 9:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., members worked diligently to pack seeds for spring planting, and labeled all the seed envelopes.

Despite the brisk winter air, members remained enthusiastic and focused throughout the morning. Working collaboratively, they finished packing 3333 seed envelopes!

This hands-on restoration initiative reinforced AYLUS members’ understanding of native habitats. By continuing their partnership in local conservation projects, AYLUS Oyster Bay remains dedicated to preserving biodiversity and fostering environmental responsibility within the community.
