AYLUS Great Neck Branch volunteers for Accessible Art Program (11th) 2/9/26

On 2/9/2026, Aylus volunteers went to Great Neck House for Accessible Art Program from 5:30pm to 7:00pm (1.5 hours).

Today, Aylus volunteers were making valentines cards for people with special  needs. The teacher in charge gave papers, sharpies, markers, and decorations like stickers to the volunteers to decorate their cards.

Inside the cards, warm words and valentines related text were written, decorated with drawings like flowers and hearts. Not only were there individual cards like a greeting to oneself, a quote of love found online, a poem of Shakespeare… made, but also were there cards that are for people with special needs created by the volunteers.

Helping out people with special needs is a very kind and caring thing to do that makes our community better.

Members who participated include:

Jolynn Li (1.5h),

Catherine Tao (1.5h),

Felicia Liu (1.5h)
