On January 21, Newtown AYLUS volunteers completed another transport shift at Doylestown Hospital. Their main duties included escorting patients to appointments, assisting with wheelchairs, and ensuring safe movement between hospital units.
By assisting with transport, volunteers helped hospital staff focus more on direct medical care. Their presence improved patient flow and reduced delays, which contributed to a smoother experience for both patients and healthcare professionals.
This event highlighted how volunteers play a meaningful role in hospital operations. Students gained real-world exposure to clinical environments and learned how teamwork and reliability support patient well-being.
Volunteers: Eric Chen (Event Leader), and Aaron Temmer. Each volunteer contributed 3 hours.
