
On January 22nd, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00, ALYUS volunteer members spent 1 hour assisting children of different ages on their academics. The volunteers that attended were Jason Zeng, Xingzhi Li, Junlin Yu, Summer Lu, Linzi Yeung, and Brian Zhang. Today, there were two main subjects students needed help with, math and history. During the session, Yunlin Yu helped a fifth grade student review a fractions assignment, while Linzi Yeung worked with students in addition. On the topic of math, Brian Zhang assisted a seventh grade student with math test corrections. Summer Lu helped an eighth grade student with a history assignment about propaganda and also provided support in math. Jason Zeng worked with a 6th grader for his math. Xingzhi Li worked with an eighth-grade student on a history topic related to World War II. Overall, the volunteers provided academic support and helped students better understand key concepts in both subjects.
