In January 2026, the Aylus Morris Branch proudly partnered with the Hanover Township Education Foundation to organize a Clothing and Shoe Fund Drive aimed at supporting families in need within the local community. This initiative reflected the branch’s ongoing commitment to service, collaboration, and community care at the start of the new year.
Throughout the month, members actively promoted the drive and encouraged donations from the community. As a result of these collective efforts, a total of 120 clothing items were successfully collected. The donated items included gently used clothing suitable for different ages and seasons, ensuring practical and meaningful support for recipients.
After the collection phase, branch members gathered to carefully clean, sort, and organize all donated clothing and shoes. Special attention was given to quality control, cleanliness, and proper packaging so that all items were ready for immediate distribution. This hands-on process allowed members to work together, demonstrate responsibility, and ensure that donations were treated with respect and care.
On the morning of January 11, 2026, the organized donations were delivered to Whippany, completing the final stage of the service project. The successful delivery marked the culmination of weeks of planning, teamwork, and community engagement. This partnership with the Hanover Township Education Foundation not only provided essential resources to those in need but also strengthened relationships between local organizations working toward a common goal.
This Clothing and Shoe Fund Drive served as a meaningful start to the Aylus Morris Branch’s service initiatives for 2026 and reinforced the importance of compassion, cooperation, and civic responsibility within the community.
