AYLUS Basking Ridge held its weekly iPad Club at Fellowship Village and on December 20th, 2025, it was a relatively slow days for the volunteer. Volunteers took this time to socialize with the seniors in the community thorugh talking about their holiday plans. One of our members Claire Zhang saw that seniors were getting ready to carol around the medical care center, so she joined the group. They played music and singed holiday songs when they walked into each room, celebrating this joyous time with everyone living in the center. During this experience, the volunteer saw seniors clapping along to the music as they walked passed them, seniors singing along whether from a bed to a wheelchair to a birthday party room chair. At the end, another senior was so inspired by the holiday spirit that was spread, that she joined the group as well. Overall, through the efforts of our member and the choir group they spread joy and a deep sense of community and togetherness to everyone.
Through today, volunteers left a positive impact on all of those in the senior living center with joyful music, and a deeper sense of community.
