The Aylus Morris Branch began 2026 with a meaningful act in response to Helping Hands’ urgent request to help a few families in need, reinforcing its ongoing commitment to supporting community members in need. As part of a winter outreach initiative during the holiday season, branch members successfully collected 19 winter coats to assist individuals and families facing cold weather without adequate resources.
Following the collection phase, members took extra care to ensure that every donated item met a high standard of quality and dignity. All coats were carefully cleaned, inspected, folded, and neatly packed by volunteers, demonstrating respect for the recipients and attention to detail throughout the process. On January 1, 2026, at 2:00 PM, the organized donations were delivered to the Helping Hands distribution site, where they will be distributed directly to community members in need.
This initiative not only provided immediate, tangible support to vulnerable individuals during the winter months, but also served as an important milestone for the Aylus Morris Branch. As the branch’s first service activity of 2026, it set a strong and positive tone for the year ahead. The collaboration with Helping Hands reflects the branch’s dedication to building reliable partnerships with local nonprofits and contributing to sustainable community support systems.
Although modest in scale, the impact of collecting and delivering 19 winter coats is significant for those who will benefit from the warmth and protection they provide. More importantly, this effort highlights the collective power of committed volunteers working together toward a common purpose. The Aylus Morris Branch views this project as a promising start to 2026 and looks forward to expanding its service initiatives, deepening community partnerships, and continuing to make a positive difference throughout the year.
