West Essex AYLUS members are working to provide a younger audience with opportunities to interact with other academic trivia games similar to Quiz Bowl. These games offer an environment that empowers students by encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, and rapid recall of knowledge across a wide range of subjects. In a session at Aquinas Academy, members sponsored and proctored a qualifying exam for children to make them eligible to play in tournaments held by the company International Academic Competitions (IAC). Then, students played engaging scrimmage games of three different competitions (Science Bee, History Bee, Geography Bee) offered by IAC in a fun and supportive environment where they could develop confidence in their academic abilities and find joy in learning beyond the classroom.
