On December 6th, Newtown AYLUS members volunteered at Sunrise Senior Center for one hour, assisting residents during a bingo session. Volunteers helped distribute bingo cards, called numbers, and ensured residents were able to participate comfortably and without confusion.
Throughout the hour, volunteers provided one-on-one assistance to residents who needed help following the game, marking their cards, or understanding the rules. This support allowed more residents to stay engaged and enjoy the activity at their own pace.
This event continued Newtown AYLUS’s partnership with Sunrise Senior Center and highlighted the impact of simple, consistent service. By helping facilitate bingo, volunteers contributed to an enjoyable and inclusive experience for the residents.
