Newtown AYLUS Members Tutor Math (33th) At Local Chinese School

On Friday, 12/12/2025, 3 members of AYLUS taught students ranging from third-graders to eighth-graders in various math topics at the local Chinese school, the Newtown Yardley Chinese School. Lucas Zhang (Event Leader), Albert Chen, and Alex Hu participated, teaching from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Our volunteers taught three different classes, one for 7th and 8th graders, one for 5th and 6th grade, and one for 3rd and 4th grade students. During the teaching time, the 7th-8th-grade class, taught by Lucas Zhang and Bryce Han (Non-member), covered the AMC(10) Preparation Book practice #10. The 5th-6th-grade class, taught by Albert Chen and Ethan Huang(Non-member), covered the 2019 Grades 5-6 Math Kangaroo exam. The 3rd-4th-grade class, taught by Alex Hu, covered the 2019 Grades 3-4 Math Kangaroo exam. All members had an enjoyable time teaching and felt that they had gotten through a considerable amount of content, positively impacting young students within the community by providing advanced math instruction and review.

Members who contributed were Lucas Zhang (Leader), Albert Chen and Alex Hu. All members contributed for one hour each.
