The AYLUS Morris Branch recently partnered with Helping Hands to complete a meaningful winter service project aimed at supporting families in need during the colder months. Over several weeks, members organized a community coat drive and received generous donations from local families, neighbors, and friends. Through consistent outreach and strong volunteer involvement, the branch successfully collected 48 winter coats in a variety of sizes for both children and adults. The community’s support reflected not only generosity but also trust in the youth-led efforts of AYLUS volunteers.
After the collection phase, members took extra care to ensure that each donated coat was clean, presentable, and ready for immediate use. On November 30 at 4:00 PM, the cleaned and packed coats were delivered to the Helping Hands distribution site, where they will be sorted and provided to individuals and families facing winter hardships.
