Today, November 25th, 2025, Great Neck AYLUS hosted another tutoring session at the Great Neck Library Station Branch from 6:00-7:00 PM. Despite the rainy day, three volunteers took time out of their day. Today was another one of those days where we had more students than volunteers, so the tutors needed to multitask. Junlin worked with a 5th grader on advanced mathematics and English vocabulary. Summer and Brian worked together with the other 3 students. They split the work by what they’re best at. Summer helped with maths and sciences– pattern multiplication, force and acceleration, and word problems. Meanwhile, Brian helped with French and social studies– French crossword puzzles and comparison of Hamilton and history books. Even with more students than tutors, we still found a way to help everyone! Overall this was a very productive day with everyone leaving with something new and complete assignments!
