On Friday, 11/21/2025, 2 members of AYLUS taught students ranging from third-graders to eighth-graders in various math topics at the local Chinese school, the Newtown Yardley Chinese School. Lucas Zhang (Event Leader), and Ethan Huang participated, teaching from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Our volunteers taught two different classes, one for 7th and 8th graders, and one for 5th and 6th grade students. During the teaching time, the 7th-8th-grade class, taught by Lucas Zhang and Bryce Han (Non-member), covered the AMC(10) Preparation Book practice #8. The 5th-6th-grade class, taught by Ethan Huang, covered the 2017 Grades 5-6 Math Kangaroo exam. Both members had an enjoyable time teaching and felt that they had gotten through a considerable amount of content, positively impacting young students within the community by providing advanced math instruction and review.
Members who contributed were Lucas Zhang (Leader), and Ethan Huang. Both members contributed for one hour each.
