AYLUS Basking Ridge held its weekly iPad Club at Fellowship Village on November 15, 2025, where members assisted seniors with various technology questions, such as how to get rid of the emergency call screen, turn on google notifications, use tuner app, create and listen to voice recordings. We also helped seniors on how to change setting for apps such as allowing nicrophone access, order and add items to a cart in Amazon. We explained antiirus systems and helped remove data intensive apps for another senior and addressed other issues.
This session had a lasting positive impact on the seniors at Fellowship Village. Many participants showed appreciation for the patient, one-on-one tutoring that helped them to use their devices. By the help of our volunteers, seniors were able to stay more connected with family, enjoy the online games, and explore online resources independently. The volunteers also benefited by developing strong communication and teaching skills while fostering meaningful relationships with the residents. Overall, the iPad Club continues to promote new tech support, fill the knowledge gap between different generations, and strengthen the bond between our volunteers and the community at Fellowship Village.
