Today, November 13th, Great Neck AYLUS had another tutoring session at the Great Neck Station Library from 6-7 p.m. Six high school volunteers helped elementary and middle school students with various school assignments. Junlin Yu helped an elementary student with algebra word problems. Summer Lu helped a student with math, including subtracting and adding basic fractions. In addition, she also helped a student with social studies homework. Brendan Chen taught an elementary student math, like dividing special numbers. Erika Li helped a student with reading and vocabulary words. Eugenia Shek helped two students with reading and math homework. Brian Zhang also helped two 7th graders with social studies homework! Overall this was a successful day, students left with completed assignments and learnt something new!
