AYLUS Basking Ridge held its weekly iPad Club at Fellowship Village on November 8, 2025, where members assisted seniors with various technology questions, such as how to download iPhone apps, change wallpapers, turn on the flashlight, and safely store passwords in case they forget them. They also helped answer questions about borrowing books from online libraries and taking screenshots on their phones.
This session had a positive and lasting impact on the seniors at Fellowship Village. Many participants expressed appreciation for the patient, one-on-one guidance that helped them feel more comfortable and confident using their devices. By improving their digital literacy, seniors were able to stay more connected with family, explore new hobbies, and access online resources independently. The volunteers also benefited by developing strong communication and teaching skills while fostering meaningful relationships with the residents. Overall, the iPad Club continues to promote digital inclusion, bridge the generational gap, and strengthen the sense of community at Fellowship Village.
