Event 90: Aylus Morris Branch Supports Community Food Drive for Bags of Hope for Grace in November 2025

On the morning of November 9 at 10 a.m., members of the Aylus Morris Branch proudly participated in a community-wide food drive supporting Bags of Hope for Grace. This initiative was led by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and The Connection as part of a collective effort to provide essential food supplies to families in need. The goal of the drive was to collect 1,000 grocery bags filled with nutritious items, with each ward contributing 100 bags. Aylus Morris Branch members joined this meaningful effort by collecting, organizing, and delivering food donations to The Connection on the morning of November 9.

Each donation bag contained a thoughtful variety of non-perishable food items, including canned proteins such as tuna or chicken, canned fruits, vegetables, rice, pasta, tomato sauce, dry beans, cereal, and pudding or Jello. The contributions aimed to provide balanced meals and bring warmth to families facing food insecurity as the holiday season approaches.

Through this food drive, Aylus Morris Branch volunteers not only demonstrated compassion and teamwork but also deepened their understanding of the importance of community collaboration in addressing hunger. Their active involvement reflected AYLUS’s core mission—empowering youth to serve their communities and make a positive difference through leadership and action. The Morris Branch’s participation helped strengthen ties with local organizations while spreading hope and kindness to those who need it most. By taking part in this effort, AYLUS members reinforced the message that small acts of service can create meaningful change and inspire others to give back.
