On Sunday, November 2nd, from 8:00 A.M to 10:30 A.M, the AYLUS Roslyn Branch participated in the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County’s annual 5K Fundraiser. We formed a running group and raised 715$ for CPNassau.
The Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County in a non-profit organization that strives to provide services for children and adults with disabilities. For over 75 years, CPNassau has been improving the lives of many individuals with disabilities. They offer many different programs including the Children Learning Center, Residential Life Services, and Adult Day Programs. These funds will contribute to the support of these amazing programs!
Our main focus for this event was to raise funds that will go towards CPNassau. Our volunteers signed up to run and/or sign up to participate in the fundraiser. We are so thankful for all the volunteers who contributed to the fundraiser.
This was a great experience for us as we actively participated in fundraising towards a great cause. This was a special way for us to show our support as we usually visit the residential homes and spend time with the residents. This fundraiser may even go to supplies for some of these homes! We can’t wait to continue our volunteer work with CPNassau!
