Greater Princeton AYLUS Helped Raise Educational Funds of $8145.64 for Unfortunate Children in East Asia as a Sponsor of the 9th SAC Charity Art Show on August 11, 2019

On August 11, 2019, Greater Princeton Branch of the Alliance of Youth Leaders in the United States (GPA of AYLUS) helped raise educational funds of $8145.64 for unfortunate children in Burma, a country in Southeast Asia, by sponsoring the 9th Charity Art Show at Sharron Art Center (www.sharronartcenter.com, 2011 US-130, North Brunswick Township, NJ 08902) from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm. 

Twenty four GPA “Art From the Heart, You Could Save A Life” team members attended the Charity Art Show and took care of volunteer related duties at the Charity Art Show. The duties included accompanied music performance (piano, guzheng, saxophone, violin), video recording and photography, a special presentation, and an AYLUS booth to advocate our youth volunteer activities, in addition to the “Our Community, Our Home” International Poster Contest.  

AYLUS National Art Committee Chairman and Vice President, as well as GPA President, Cassie Tammy Wang, was invited to give a special presentation entitled “Our Community, Our Home” at the Charity Art Show. AYLUS was introduced to the hundreds of audience, esp. regarding it mission, structure, services, President’s Volunteer Service Award, as well as the AYLUS “Our Community, Our Home” International Poster Contest. Students attended the Art Show were strongly encouraged to enter the contest. AYLUS Community Service Award certificates were presented to all student winners at the end of Cassie’s presentation.
