On Monday, October 20, our group volunteered at Nosh Delivers in Glen Cove from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to help distribute food to families in need. Together with our parent supervisor, we assisted in sorting and packing food items, organizing delivery bags, and making sure each household received the correct packages. We also helped deliver the food and clean up afterward. The experience was meaningful and eye-opening, as we saw how teamwork and organization make a real difference in helping the community. It was rewarding to see the appreciation from the families we served, and we learned the importance of giving back and supporting those who face food insecurity. Overall, volunteering at Nosh Delivers strengthened our sense of responsibility, empathy, and community spirit.
