On Sunday, October 19th, 2025, the Carol Woods Retirement Community in Chapel Hill hosted a live music event, featuring volunteers from the Chapel Hill AYLUS branch. The group — consisting of 1 violinist, two pianists and three vocal singers — performed a program of varieties pieces for the residents.
The recital was well-received, with audience members showing their appreciation through smiles and applause. It offered an opportunity for residents to enjoy live music in a relaxed and familiar setting.
We’re pleased to share that this initiative will continue, with the future performance scheduled for the third Sunday of each month.
Volunteers who participated in this event were Eric Sun (1.5 hours), Daniel Liu (1.5 hours), Irena Gao (1.5 hours), Emerson Zhou (1.5 hours) and Alissa Liu (1.5 hours) and Elina Zhou (1.5 hours).
