On Sunday, October 5, from 12:30 to 1:30pm, the Great Neck Branch gathered together to support and help the therapeutic ice-skating program at the Andrew Stergiopoulous rink.
On Sunday we were there to help skaters to learn techniques and also to help them practice more of their skating skills. Each volunteer worked very hard and worked very well with the skaters. To demonstrate the new moves and teach skaters hand on hand is very helpful. Through the volunteering session we enthusiastically cheered for each other’s accomplishments. Everyone enjoyed skating together.
