On September 22, 2025, AYLUS Basking Ridge hosted a Tech Support Program at Ridge Oak Center, helping seniors feel more confident navigating their email accounts. Our members guided them step by step—showing how to safely delete one email account while keeping another, clear out old messages and photos, find specific contacts, send messages, and more.
What made the day truly special was the connection and encouragement shared between volunteers and seniors. One member patiently worked with a senior who had never sent an email before, celebrating every small success with high-fives and smiles. Another helped a senior find a treasured old photo, and the joy on their face was unforgettable. By the end of the session, it wasn’t just about learning technology—it was about building confidence, sharing laughter, and creating moments of pride and accomplishment. Both seniors and volunteers left the room energized, reminded of the power of patience, care, and simply being present for someone else.
