On September 20, AYLUS Great Neck Branch come to Bayard Friendship Garden. The main goal of this activity is to remove invasive plants, protect the local ecological environment, and reduce the threat of alien species to the diversity of local plans. Through artificial wedding, healthy structure can be restored, and the growth space of native plants can be improved.
In this weed activity we focused on removing the following invasive plants: Porcelain berry, Violets, and Mug wort. The total weight is about 265 pounds. In addition, we have pruned ferns, but because they are not invasive species, we have only managed them moderately.
This act activity effectively controlled the spread trend of invasive plants and played a positive role in maintaining the logical diversity of Bayard cutting arboretum.
