AYLUS Great Neck Branch Volunteered Farmers Market Fundraiser #7 9/21/2025

On September 21th, AYLUS Great Neck participated in the sixth Great Neck Park District Farmers Market. Our morning started at 9:30 when volunteers arrived early to secure a good spot and set up the required tables for our stand to function. The event started from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, and we split the work into 2 shifts of 2 hours each. Each shift contains people who would run a face paint station, a custom fan-making station, cashiers, and we taught crocheting. Our homemade items include crocheted plushies, keychains, purses, and bracelets. Our crocheted plushies and keychains are by far the most popular items. We have volunteers learning and teaching crocheting to keep our stand in stock. Throughout the Farmers market, we successfully raised around 150$. We did extremely well to run stations and encounter no issues. Proceeds from the farmers market will be donated to Adventures in learning, a organization that aims to provide underprivileged students tutoring based out of JFK. we are also looking into options to expand our inventory as it has stayed the same for much of AYLUS’s time with the Great Neck Farmers Market. While we did well, there are places of improvement, and we look forward to our next market.
