AYLUS Frisco & Plano Branch Fundraising Event at Russell Creek Park on September 13th, 2025

Reported by: LiangYu Tsai Posted by: Jenny Lin

On September 13th, 2025, 7 of our AYLUS members gathered at Russell Creek Park and set up their stands.

By 6:00pm, the stands were all set up and the group had a short meeting about their sale.  They sold cotton candy, shaved ice, and iced water.  The volunteer team took different roles to make their sale successful.  Two people for shaved ice, two for cotton candy, two advertising, and one cashier.  The advertising team took samples of cotton candies and went around the park, drawing the attention of little kids.  The stand was set up near the parking lot entrance where a lot of people come in and out. In the Texas heat, many people would want to buy a refreshing cup of shaved ice or iced water.  Overall, the 7 volunteers worked very hard to make a profit this day, and they’re looking forward to doing it again.
