Newtown AYLUS Volunteers at Doylestown Hospital (9/3)

On September 3rd, Newtown AYLUS members Eric Chen and Aaron volunteered at Doylestown Hospital to assist with patient support services. During their three-hour shift, they worked together on patient transport and discharge, helping patients move throughout the hospital and ensuring they could safely leave after receiving care. By taking on these responsibilities, Eric and Aaron directly supported the hospital staff, making the discharge process more efficient and providing an extra level of comfort to patients and their families.

This opportunity allowed both volunteers to gain firsthand insight into the importance of teamwork within a hospital setting. Every role, from medical staff to volunteers, plays a crucial part in maintaining smooth operations, and Eric and Aaron were able to witness this collaboration in action. They each dedicated 3 hours on this day. Their continued service reflects Newtown AYLUS’s commitment to meaningful community involvement and the value of helping others during important moments of care.

Volunteers: Eric Chen(Event Leader), and Aaron Temmer. Each person volunteered for 3 hours.
