On August 15, 2025, five members of the AYLUS RC Classic Music Band held their first rehearsal of the Flower Day quartet. This piece is part of the program for our upcoming performances on October 4 and 5, which leaves us just two months to prepare.
Compared to some of our other repertoire, Flower Day is not a difficult piece, but its melody is beautiful and expressive. During the first hour, the violin, piano, and flute players practiced separately, focusing on becoming fluent in their own parts. In the following two hours, the group rehearsed together section by section. As the rehearsal progressed, the ensemble grew more synchronized, and the performance quality steadily improved.
By the end of the session, the group was able to play through almost the entire piece as a complete ensemble. All members were very pleased with the results of today’s rehearsal and felt confident about their progress.
Each of the five participants practiced for a total of 3 hours.
