AYLUS Great Neck Branch helps set up at Michael J. Tully Park (afternoon) 8/18/25

On August 18th, from 1:00-4:00pm, AYLUS volunteers gathered at Tully Park to helped set up booths and tents.

The main purpose was to prepared the park for a community event and ensure that all equipment and facilities were set up to provide a safe place for visitors.

Our job was to stick cardboard to the ground with tape. To enhance safety, we stuck them two times for each sides. We also helped to set up several lights around the tent. This task involved great attention.

Finally, we carefully moved 8 tables and 45 chairs into the tent. Two people carried the front and back, one person carried the middle of the table. This required coordination among the three participants.

Through this communication, we improved our teamwork. Each volunteer learned how to coordinate tasks effectively, follow instructions and pay attention to safety details.

Additionally, we learned importance of contributing to the public service. We had a nice activity.
