Fairfax Branch – Holy Cross Hospital Event 8/12/2025

On August 17, 2025, AYLUS Fairfax Branch partnered with the National Youth Visionaries Association (NYVA) to volunteer at the NYVA art gallery at the Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD. NYVA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting our environment. Many of its members created beautiful artworks celebrating the beauties of nature, which were then gifted to the hospital.

To show their gratitude, the hospital hosted an educational session for the volunteers after the art gallery, during which they introduced the various medical departments that keep the hospital running smoothly. They discussed careers as a nurse, neurosurgeon, sterile processor, and more.

We were responsible for setting up the conference room with chairs and tables, making sure that each artwork was displayed properly, and welcoming the special guests. This event was no easy feat, but we were glad that the hospital enjoyed the art gallery, and our volunteers gained a lot of valuable insight from the educational session.

Thank you so much to the National Youth Visionaries Association for collaborating with us, and we look forward to collaborating with them in the future. And finally, a special thank you to the Holy Cross Hospital for making this event possible; we appreciate the sacrifices you make every day to help serve the community.

Thank you, William Tian (4 Hours), Rachel Truong (4 Hours), Lucas Shen (4 Hours), Amber Jin (4 Hours), Eric Tian (4 Hours), Julianna Sun (4 Hours), Grace Yuan (4 Hours), Justin Yuan (4 Hours), Kevin Shen (4 Hours), and Raeka Zhang (4 Hours) for attending this event!

Best,

William Tian
