AYLUS Roslyn Sells Mulligan Rocks at CP Nassau’s 43rd Annual Golf & Tennis Tournament (2nd) on August 7th, 2025

On August 7th, members of the AYLUS Roslyn branch separated into two groups, a group of 5 outside from 7:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M., and another group of 4 outside from 12:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., to sell Mulligan Rocks painted by children and adults at the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County’s annual golf and tennis tournament. CPNassau is a non-profit organization aiding over 1,500 individuals with Cerebral Palsy. They have programs such as their Children’s Learning Center, Adult Day Programs, and residential homes. This annual golf tournament is an effort to fundraise to support the programs at CP Nassau, letting children and adults with disabilities have memorable experiences.

Throughout the beautiful sunny day, AYLUS volunteers sold the hand-painted Mulligan Rocks to the attending golfers. The rocks were sold for 10 dollars each and allowed the golfers to get a “mulligan shot”, where they can re-do their drive and keep a beautifully crafted rock by the children and adults at CP Nassau in their back pocket. For each shift throughout the day, we split into teams, selling Mulligan Rocks at the clubhouse, Hole 9, and Hole 16. Many enthusiastically bought the rocks, not only for the mulligan shot, but also to support CP Nassau. They also kindly thanked us for our volunteering work, making for a fun and lively environment for us. They told us their potential various uses for the rocks such as spreading them throughout their garden, putting it up in their office, or giving them to loved ones. In total, the rocks raised around $1000. The community was very thoughtful and came together for this big event for all the adults and children in need at CP Nassau. We really appreciate CP Nassau for inviting us to help them, and we can’t wait to come back next year!
