Stem n Tech (#62): Pearland Branch Community Robotics Class in Hua Xia Chinese School (#28) on July 15, 2025

On July 15th, 2025 the Pearland Youth volunteers gave the next robotics class in the community. To foster teamwork and creativity, students were divided into three groups, each tasked with designing and building a functional catapult using limited materials. The primary goal was to hit stacked blocks placed at varying distances — testing both accuracy and power.

The activity sparked enthusiasm among the students as they brainstormed, built, and tested their designs. Each group brought a unique approach to the challenge, showcasing their problem-solving skills and innovation. After multiple trials, all teams successfully launched projectiles, with several direct hits on the target blocks.

The day concluded with a discussion session, where students shared what they learned about force, angles, and teamwork. It was an energetic and educational start to the summer program, setting the tone for a fun-filled and STEM-enriched series of classes.
