Aylus volunteers are at Planting Fields Arboretum on July
19,2025 (40th)
Aylus volunteers participated in the volunteer event from 9:00–12:00 at Planting Fields Arboretum. The main task was to picked up weeds from each grassy areas. We were separated into two teams to cleared out invasive weeds. Everyone was working hard. After finishing up in this area we moved to the other areas in need of weeding. We cleared weeds growing in cracks in the pavement. Once we finished the park manger was thankful for our efforts. We look forwards working with them next week. Volunteering today at the park was a wonderful experience. While weeding outdoors and contributing to the community we also learned how invasive weeds can affect plant health. This activity helped us to improve teamwork ability and appreciate the hard work that goes into keeping parks clean and beautiful.
