AYLUS Great Neck Branch Tutoring At Station Library 39th (7/17/25)


On Thursday, July 17, Aylus high school volunteers gathered from 6:00 to 7:00pm at Great Neck Station Library to tutor and assist younger students with their studies. During this session, Ivy Li tutored a kindergarten student by reading him books; they read picture books such as Doctor Suess and The Rainbow Fish. Summer Lu helped a 7th grader with grammar and taught her new words and how to properly place them in a sentence. Benjamin Ko helped a lady read children’s books and learn new vocabulary in english, she took notes and wrote most things down, and they went over the words afterwords. And Janice Zhang helped as well as a teammate. In conclusion, this was a productive tutoring session for the volunteers and students.
