Newtown AYLUS Volunteers at FabLab Summer Camp (9th)

On Wednesday, July 16, 2025, members from the Newtown AYLUS Branch dedicated their time from 11:45 AM to 4:00 PM volunteering at the FabLab Center (One Ivybrook Blvd. Ste 190, Warminster, PA). FabLab is a STEAM learning center where children and youth of all ages are able to explore various technologies and skills related to science, engineering, art, and math.

Two members helped a group of around 25 students with multiple activities during their time there, providing help and guidance. As well as assisting the students, volunteers also completed tasks teachers requested. This included organizing supplies, separating legos and making sure lego sets had all pieces, charging laptops, ipads, VR headsets, and 3D printer pens used by the students, and maintaining a clean materials place. Volunteers actively moved around the building, offering help wherever it was needed.

The event ran smoothly, as students were happy with their activities and creations, and felt that they had completed a lot. At the end of the event, volunteers helped instructors clean up the classroom by organizing teaching materials, plugging in robots and other devices, organizing chairs and tables, and making sure the room was pristine and orderly before leaving.

Members who participated were Daniel Tang (Event Leader) and Ryan He, both for 4 hours.
