Reported by Jessica Lu :
On July 8, 2025, Murrieta AYLUS members helped their local food bank.
Members first started by sorting produce in order to bag it for all the food boxes that day. They also bagged meats, putting in 1-2 meats in each bag for each food box. They did that for a while before the staff gave members some frozen breakfast foods that needed to be put in individual small baggies. Members split up, with half bagging hashbrowns and muffins, and the other half bagging bagels and bread. Members would put around 3-5 frozen goods in each sandwich bag, depending on how much they could fit. Members went through about 6 crates of bagels/bread and 3 crates of hash browns/muffins before they called it a day. When it was time to clean up, members helped wipe and sweep down the floors before spraying the tables with cleaning solution and wiping them down as well. Then, they hugged people goodbye and signed out.
