AYLUS Roslyn Provides Food to Local Families Through NOSH Delivers! Food Pantry (86th) on July 8th, 2025

On Tuesday, July 8th, the AYLUS Roslyn Branch volunteered with NOSH Delivers from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. NOSH Delivers is a local food pantry that helps provide fresh groceries and essential items to families in need.

We began the day by splitting into two groups. The first group helped restock the pantry shelves with everyday necessities, like grains, canned goods, and many non-perishable foods by unboxing the food items that are coming in. The second group worked in the produce section, where they helped distribute fresh bread, dairy products, fruits, and vegetables to the people coming into the pantry.

After the first two hours, all of us came together in the produce section. One person was in charge of handing out bread, another handled the dairy, and two others gave out fruits and vegetables to those coming in. This system helped things run smoothly and allowed us to help more people at once.

The experience gave us a chance to work efficiently as a team and find different jobs during the day. We learned how important communication is, not just to complete our work, but to find new ways to help out wherever we were needed. We look forward to volunteering with NOSH again soon.
