Greater Princeton AYLUS Members Selected to Volunteer with the Natural Resources Conservation Service, An Agency of the United States Department of Agriculture since June 24, 2019

Greater Princeton AYLUS (GPA) members have been selected to volunteer with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) starting Monday, June 24, 2019. Through this summer, GPA Earth Team Volunteers, Joyce Li and Cassie Wang, are scheduled to work in the NRCS Somerset, NJ Headquarters Office on work days from 8 am to 5 pm (9 hours/day). 

NRCS helps America’s farmers, ranchers and forest landowners conserve the nation’s soil, water, air and other natural resources, offering science-based solutions that benefit both the landowner and the environment. Earth Team Volunteers ‘Improve Today for Tomorrow’. They work together to improve the environment, not only for today, but for the next generation.

The work of GPA Earth Team Volunteers will allow NRCS to stretch available resources and plus additional conservation practices on the ground. The work is considered important, because it improves NRCS customer service and the environment for all.
