On Sunday, June 15th, three competitive swimmers and volunteers from AYLUS Pearland – Yurong, Yushan, and Jordana taught swimming lessons to community kids. This is the 4th lesson in a 3-week-long series.
Yurong, Jordana, and Yushan helped Emma, Audrey, Darren, Tyler, Jasper, and Lawrence as a group practice with a kicking game. After the game, Yurong and Yushan worked with Darren, Audrey, Emma, and Jasper on their breaststroke while Jordana helped Tyler and Lawrence improve on their freestyle. Yurong then taught Darren, Tyler, Emma, and Audrey how to do Butterfly legs and arms. The last 10 minutes of class, they played another kicking game with the coaches.
This lesson went well. Everyone was either learning something new or improving their skills. All the kids had a great time. They enjoyed spending time together and felt at ease with the coaches and other swimmers.
