On June 3, 2025, youth volunteers from Pearland performed as guest artists with the SMILE bucket drumming team in the second charity concert presented by the renowned Polar-Light Percussion Team from Taiwan. With a legacy spanning over two decades, Polar-Light is composed of exceptional performers with special needs and is celebrated worldwide as a symbol of perseverance, talent, and inclusion in the arts.
As special guests, the SMILE team and local youth volunteers performed “Wavin’ Flag” on bucket drums, delivering a high-energy, heartwarming performance that demonstrated music’s unique ability to bring people together. The concert not only showcased artistic excellence but also reinforced the ongoing efforts of young leaders to advocate for inclusion and support individuals with special needs through the power of creative expression.
