On Sunday, May 18, 2025, the Carol Woods Retirement Community in Chapel Hill hosted a live music event, featuring seven volunteers from the Chapel Hill AYLUS branch. The group—consisting of two violinists and five pianists—performed a program of classical pieces for the residents.
The recital was well-received, with audience members showing their appreciation through smiles and applause. It offered an opportunity for residents to enjoy live music in a relaxed and familiar setting.
We’re pleased to share that this initiative will continue, with the next performance scheduled for the third Sunday of next month.
Volunteers who participated in this event were Eric Sun (1.5 hours), Daniel Liu (1.5 hours), and Karen Lin (1.5 hours), Lucas Zhang (1.5 hours), April Zhang (1.5 hours), Alwin Liu (1.5 hours) and Leah Yang (1.5 hours).
