On May 3rd, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, volunteers from the AYLUS Roslyn Branch participated in a community service event at Nosh Food Delivery, a non-profit organization dedicated to delivering food and beverages weekly to individuals and families in need.
Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the Nosh team. We began the day by creating an assembly line, working on packing certain fruits, vegetables, and other foods into the grocery bags that would later be delivered to customers. Next, we helped stock shelves to ensure a diverse selection of food and beverages was available for customers. We also helped throw the cardboard boxes away to conserve more space in the food pantry.
This experience at the NOSH food pantry opened our eyes to the logistics and effort involved in supporting food-insecure communities. It also highlighted the importance of giving back and the challenges many people face daily.
Members who participated include: Brian Xiong (3 hours), Kayden Cheng (3 hours), and Jasmine Lin (3 hours)
