Event 51: AYLUS Morris Branch Collects and Donates Summer Essentials to Support Shelter Children in April 2025

In April, members of the AYLUS Morris branch organized a community service project by setting up collection sites at a local tennis club, gym, and study center. Their goal was to gather summer essentials to support children in need. Throughout the month, they collected six baseball hats and twenty-one pairs of sunglasses. After weeks of collecting and organizing the donations, the members completed their project with a drop-off on April 26 afternoon to Help4All, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting underserved communities. Help4All will distribute the donated items to children living in shelters across Morris County, helping to provide protection from the sun as the warmer months approach. The AYLUS Morris members demonstrated great teamwork and dedication, from setting up the collection sites to promoting the effort within the community and finally coordinating the delivery. This project reflects their commitment to service and compassion, showing how small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. By focusing on providing children with useful and thoughtful items, the volunteers hope to bring a little extra comfort and care into their lives. Through initiatives like this, the AYLUS Morris branch continues to inspire youth to lead with empathy, responsibility, and a spirit of giving. Their efforts remind us that even simple donations, when combined with a shared purpose, can create a significant impact within the community.
