AYLUS North Hollywood Volunteers for Travel Town Railroad Museum | March 15, 2025

Activity & Impact

On March 14, 2025, five members of the AYLUS North Hollywood branch volunteered at the Travel Town Railroad Museum in Griffith Park during two shifts: the first from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the second from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The Travel Town Railroad Museum is a family-friendly museum dedicated to the history of trains and railroads in Southern California. The museum educates visitors about the role of trains in the development of the region and provides hands-on exhibits for all ages.

Our volunteers were assigned various roles throughout the day. At the entrance, some greeted guests, provided directions to the restrooms and gift shop, and ensured that visitors had a warm welcome to the museum. Others assisted at the tour table, explaining how the tours operate, answering questions about the exhibits, and encouraging donations to support the museum.
