On March 2nd from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM, Syosset AYLUS volunteered at a center for the Cerebral Palsy Association, engaging with residents through fun and interactive activities.
During our visit, we organized a variety of activities, including classic games and creative crafts. We started the day with arts and crafts, where residents enjoyed coloring, decorating, and working on creative projects. Some participants enjoyed using markers to color fun wood designed objects, like easter eggs and flowers, while others preferred coloring on paper. As the event continued, we moved to engaging games, including Uno and Connect Four. Many residents had fun playing these games and enjoyed friendly competition and teamwork. During Connect Four residents were eagerly trying to outsmart their opponent by lining up their colored pieces and during Uno, many had fun strategizing their way to win. These games provided a great way to interact and build connections with the residents in a fun and relaxed setting.
This experience was not only meaningful for the residents but also for us volunteers. We were grateful for the opportunity to being joy to the residents through simple yet impactful games and crafts.
