On February 22, 2025, six AYLUS volunteers participated in the (Special Needs Program) at DCFC, spending a joyful and heartwarming time with the children.
At the beginning of the event, volunteers and children danced to the music, immersing themselves in the rhythm in a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. Together, they explored the meaning of respecting others and God’s love, allowing the children to gain warmth and inspiration through the activity.
After the learning session, the children and volunteers participated in a drumming practice. Under the guidance of the volunteers, the children followed the beat and created rhythmic drum patterns. experiencing the power and joy of music. The volunteers continuously encouraged them, helping them enjoy the charm of music with confidence and applause.
Following this, we engaged in a tangyuan (sweet rice ball) making activity. Through this hands-on experience, the children not only learned how to make tangyuan but also had the opportunity to taste this delicious Chinese traditional food. This interactive and cultural experience brought everyone closer, creating a fun and meaningful atmosphere. The entire event concluded on a warm and joyful note.
Through this event, we deeply realized:
The importance of respect and care: Everyone is unique, and by respecting and embracing differences, we make the world a warmer place.
The value of companionship: The presence of volunteers not only brought joy to the children but also planted seeds of warmth in everyone’s hearts.
Cultural sharing: By making and tasting tangyuan together, the children experienced the beauty and joy of different cultures through hands-on interaction.
