AYLUS San Clemente Branch Members Volunteered at Mercy Warehouse (#2) on February 1, 2025

On February 1st, 2025, two members of the AYLUS San Clemente Branch, Tylon Zhou and Miah Zhou, spent their morning volunteering at Mercy’s Warehouse in Laguna Niguel, beginning their journey from 11 a.m. They were sent to the womens clothes sorting section and were given two tasks to complete during their time frame.

One of their tasks was to hang womens leggings, organizing them into their different sizes. Once they finished their first task, they were then sent to a new station where they had to sort womens sleeved tops from sleeveless tops. The sleeveless tops needed to be hung up using the clear hangers, whereas the sleeved tops could be hung using any colored hanger, both top types being sorted into different sizes as well. They carefully made sure that all the tops were facing the same direction so that people were able to look for them easier.

After two hours of volunteering, they wrapped up their work at 1:00 p.m., knowing their efforts would have a positive impact on the community. By helping the Mercy’s Warehouse, they were able to bring greater support for the community in need.
