AYLUS San Clemente Branch Members Donated to LA Fires Relief Event in January, 2025

In early January, various wildfires broke out across Los Angeles County, causing massive amounts of destruction to infrastructure all across the county. The Palisades Fire, which has burned 23,713 acres, has been 56% contained, and the Eaton Fire has destroyed 14,021 acres and has been 81% contained. At least 27 people have died and thousands of homes have been destroyed in the wildfires, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner and fire officials. Approximately 41,000 people remain under an evacuation order or warning in Los Angeles County on Saturday. AYLUS San Clemente responded immediately, collecting over $450 worth of goods to donate! On Saturday, January 18, members of AYLUS San Clemente dropped off their goods to LA Fire Relief through Saddleback Church Peace Center Lake Forest! These goods will be transported to various Los Angeles rescue centers and distributed to those in need.
